Minor Injuries Units and A&E
If you require urgent care, please call 111 or go online for an assessment. This helps us to provide the right support or treatment as quickly as possible, and could save you an unnecessary journey.
If you turn up unannounced at the MIU, you will be assessed but could be directed elsewhere or given an appointment later that day or the next.
Phone NHS 111 if you’re not sure what support you need, or call 999 for anything life threatening as normal.
MIUs in Blandford and Portland remain closed temporarily. Staff from the temporarily closed units will help support the MIU at Wimborne hospital, which will have extended opening hours of 8am-8pm, Monday-Sunday.
