Theatre Staff - Blandford
MSK have been attending Blandford Day Surgery Unit for just over four years, performing interventional pain injections using x-ray guidance.
Hundreds of patients have received care and attention from the small but professional team at Blandford Hospital.
We consist of five trained nurses and one healthcare assistant, all of whom work across the areas of support for the patient - through admission to discharge with only trained staff assisting the clinician in his delivery of injection therapy.
X Ray is provided by trained radiographers from Dorset County Hospital who are skilled in the use of an image intensifier to assist in the appropriate delivery of medication to the affected area, whether epidural, hips, spinal/facet joints or other areas.
